Elizabeth Gaskell's masterpiece Wives and Daughters is an enchanting tale of romance, scandal, and intrigue in the gossipy English town of Hollingford around the 1830s.Elizabeth Gaskell (1810-1865) was born in London but grew up in the north of England in the village of Knutsford. In 1832, she married the Reverend William Gaskell and had four daughters and one son who died in infancy. Her first novel, Mary Barton, was published in 1848 and won the attention of Charles Dickens; most of Elizabeth Gaskell's masterpiece Wives and Daughters is an enchanting tale of romance, scandal, and intrigue in the gossipy English town of Hollingford around the 1830s.Elizabeth Gaskell (1810-1865) was born in London but grew up in the north of England in the village of Knutsford. In addition to her award-winning voice work, Josephine is involved in television, film, and theater. On television she has played parts in Robin Hood, A Tale of Two Cities, and Sword of Freedom. In film she was featured in Shadow Hours, Life's a Circus, and Corridors of Blood. Her theater experience includes lead roles in Betrayal, Otherwise Engaged, and Blithe Spirit. Josephine received her training from the Corona Stage School in London and the Tracy Roberts Actors Studio in Los Angeles. Josephine currently resides in South Carolina.
