The Chemical History of a Candle is one of the series of 6 lessons on the chemistry and physics of flames provided by Michael Faraday at the Royal Institution, as a sections of the sequels of Christmas lessons for children formed by Faraday in 1825 and still presented there yearly. The lessons defined the various areas of oxidization in the candle flare and the emergence of carbon specks in the fluorescent area.
