Materials for Rigid and Flexible Printed Wiring Boards (Electrical and Computer Engineering) - edition reliée, livre de poche

ISBN: 1890951358

[SR: 2486018], Hardcover, [EAN: 9780824724337], CRC Press, CRC Press, Book, [PU: CRC Press], CRC Press, Complex electronic circuits and devices are flooding applications in nearly every facet of commercial and industrial activity, from automated equipment to all types of consumer products. Proper selection of materials is crucial to meet the end-use requirements of flexible and rigid printed wiring boards. While there are many useful books and articles on the fabrication of printed circuit boards, Materials for Rigid and Flexible Printed Wiring Boards is the first book to detail the properties of the materials used and how they are made. The authors present important manufacturing information and material properties for reinforcement materials, resins, flexible films, copper foils, rigid laminates, high-speed/high-frequency laminates, and metal core and constraining core materials. They offer practical guidance to help designers, engineers, and fabricators choose suitable materials to successfully meet strength, weight, thickness, performance, cost, and other requirements. In most cases, the material data comes directly from manufacturers' data sheets, representing typical values. The book illustrates the comparative strengths and limitations of the materials, highlights their basic properties, and details the manufacturing processes used to make them.Offering practical guidance based on years of experience, Materials for Rigid and Flexible Printed Wiring Boards is a one-stop source of crucial information for anyone designing or building printed circuit boards for any application., 13698, Circuits, 107178011, Design, 107179011, Integrated, 7921648011, Logic, 7921649011, VLSI & ULSI, 227544, Electrical & Electronics, 173515, Engineering, 173507, Engineering & Transportation, 1000, Subjects, 283155, Books, 13707, Electronics, 13718, Microelectronics, 13723, Optoelectronics, 13725, Semiconductors, 107183011, Sensors, 13727, Solid State, 227548, Transistors, 227544, Electrical & Electronics, 173515, Engineering, 173507, Engineering & Transportation, 1000, Subjects, 283155, Books, 226704, Materials & Material Science, 52184011, Concrete, 226707, Extraction & Processing, 13785, Fracture Mechanics, 13771, Metallurgy, 226709, Polymers & Textiles, 52176011, Strength of Materials, 52183011, Testing, 173515, Engineering, 173507, Engineering & Transportation, 1000, Subjects, 283155, Books, 465600, New, Used & Rental Textbooks, 468220, Business & Finance, 468226, Communication & Journalism, 468204, Computer Science, 468224, Education, 468212, Engineering, 468206, Humanities, 468222, Law, 468228, Medicine & Health Sciences, 684283011, Reference, 468216, Science & Mathematics, 468214, Social Sciences, 684300011, Test Prep & Study Guides, 2349030011, Specialty Boutique, 283155, Books

Jean-pierre Chrétien:
The Great Lakes of Africa: Two Thousand Years of History - nouveau livre

ISBN: 9781890951351

ID: 978189095135

Though the genocide of 1994 catapulted Rwanda onto the international stage, English-language historical accounts of the Great Lakes region of Eastern Africa--which encompasses Burundi, eastern Congo, Rwanda, western Tanzania, and Uganda--are scarce. Drawing on colonial archives, oral tradition, archeological discoveries, anthropologic and linguistic studies, and his thirty years of scholarship, Jean-Pierre Chrétien offers a major synthesis of the history of the region, one still plagued by extremely violent wars. This translation brings the work of a leading French historian to an English-speaking audience for the first time.Chrétien retraces the human settlement and the formation of kingdoms around the sources of the Nile, which were discovered by European explorers around 1860. He describes these kingdoms'' complex social and political organization and analyzes how German, British, and Belgian colonizers not only transformed and exploited the existing power structures, but also projected their own racial categories onto them. Finally, he shows how the independent states of the postcolonial era, in particular Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda, have been trapped by their colonial and precolonial legacies, especially by the racial rewriting of the latter by the former.Today, argues Chrétien, the Great Lakes of Africa is a crucial region for historical research--not only because its history is fascinating but also because the tragedies of its present are very much a function of the political manipulations of its past.
