D. 1887, embracing the operations of the said Department from December 1, 1886, to May 3, 1887, under Jerome B. Niles, Auditor General, and for the remainder of the fiscal year under the present Auditor General. You will find the report arranged in the following order, to wit: I. Statement showing the receipts at the Treasury, and the sources from which the were derived. II. Statement showing the payments at the Treasury, and the purposes for which they were made. III. Statement showing the monthly receipts and payments at the Treasury, their sources and objects. IV. Statement showing the assessment of State tax in the several counties of the Commonwealth. V. Statement showing the several public loans of the Commonwealth, when authorized, for what purpose, amount of loans, rates of interest, when re imbursable, dates of maturity, amount outstanding and when the interest ceased.
