The basic need to interpret Biblicaltexts (in general) must be consideredin terms of the dimensions of time andthe audience addressed. All theBiblical texts were written more thantwo-thousand years ago, and with nodoubt have ways of living and thecontext settings in which these divinewords and thoughts were uttered verymuch changed since then. Tounderstand the the spiritual message(the 'kerygma') of a biblical periocope, we need to 'explore' such backgroundof settings to answer importantquestions such as: (i) What was thereason of such message from God?(ii) what was the content, and (iii) whatobjective did it have to have An impacton the lifes of the people (audience)addressed? Only after havingsuccesfully answered such questions, can we develop the 'kerygma' behindand apply to our lives today. These aremethodical requirements of such apreliminary procedure to 'dig out' thekerygma behind, and in doing so, weavoid misinterpretation of the divinemessage in presenting biblicallyincorrect conclusions that lead peopleastray from what the Lord reallywanted to communicate to mankind. Doing this is an analytic effort of someintellectual standing that we have tofollow each time when teaching orpreaching to other people around us. Itmust be done not only out of highestrespect for God s Word delivered tomankind but also of the huge responsibility we have in delivering it'uncorrupted' to our audience, withoutadding or missing anything that wastransmitted to us.
