As new except for small 1/2" rip at bottom edge of spine cover and light shelfwear at cover corners. 319 pages. 8.25" X 5.25" X .7" Two books in one: Moonlight Desires & Moonlight Whispers. "How do you fight your own nature? Vampire/wolf-shifter Acier Gautier has a dual nature. Part vampire and part wolf-shifter, Acier, as Alpha Supreme-in- waiting of Pack Gautier must learn that even he can't always control what destiny has in store for him. While running from the one woman he desires most but knows he cannot have, Acier encounters one of the only beings able to handle his strong sexual passions. The two have nothing in common. But under the spell of the full moon, hidden passions explode and the night comes alive with the sounds of satisfied lust as they engage in a feast of sex, blood, and a struggle for domination, from which only one can emerge victorious. Moonlight Whispers By Marilyn Lee Wolf-shifter hybrid Acier Gautier has a tremendous weight resting on his shoulders. Alpha-in-Waiting, he will be the first non-purebred shifter to lead his pack. There are pressing issues demanding his attention before he can take command of Pack Gautier. Not the least of which is the sensuous, dark beauty Raven Monclaire, whose welfare her father has entrusted to Acier. Instead of protecting her from other men, Acier finds himself wanting her with a passion that will make continuing to deny his vampire blood impossible. His unrelenting hunger for her forces him to consider the possibility that she might be his bloodlust, a vampire's perfect mate. After graduating from college, Raven tracked down the handsome, mysterious Acier for the express purpose of pursuing an intimate relationship with him. Raven is undeterred when he rejects her romantic overtures. She has always known things she shouldn't and she has seen a future with Acier. Or it could be the future she saw with Acier's twin brother, Etienne, who freely admits to the feelings Acier steadfastly denies. As Acier and Raven struggle to come to terms with their consuming passion for each other, Acier's one-time friend, Leon, insists a purebred wolf-shifter should lead Pack Gautier. With the help of a powerful outsider and a vampire fem, Leon challenges Acier for leadership of the pack. For the first time in his life, Acier faces a foe powerful enough to threaten everything dear to him. Desperation drives him to appeal for help to the one person he despites above all, the unknown vampire father who deserted him and Etienne before they were born., Ellora's Cave, 2007, 3, New York, NY Oxford University Press, 1965. Jean-Baptiste Poquelin, known by his stage name Molière (/mo?l'j??r/;[1] French: [m?.lj???]; 16221673), was a French playwright and actor who is considered to be one of the greatest masters of comedy in Western literature.[2] Among Molière's best-known works are The Misanthrope, The School for Wives, Tartuffe, The Miser, The Bourgeois Gentleman and the present work The Imaginary Invalid. Molière suffered from pulmonary tuberculosis, possibly contracted when he was imprisoned for debt as a young man. One of the most famous moments in Molière's life was his last, which became legend: he collapsed on stage in a fit of coughing and haemorrhaging while performing in the last play he'd written, which had lavish ballets performed to the music of Marc-Antoine Charpentier and which ironically was entitled Le Malade imaginaire (The Imaginary Invalid). Molière insisted on completing his performance. Afterwards he collapsed again with another, larger haemorrhage before being taken home, where he died a few hours later, without receiving the last rites because two priests refused to visit him while a third arrived too late. The superstition that green brings bad luck to actors is said to originate from the colour of the clothing he was wearing at the time of his death., Oxford University Press, 1965., 0, David & Charles, Newton Abbot, first edition, 1984. The growing number of highly skilled designer-bookbinders are raising standards to new peaks. Their work is sought out, admired and collected for its beauty and artistic significance. This is the first book to look at this century's leading binders, their work and their varied approaches to it - often described in their own words. It includes a chapter on collecting bindings. Lavishly illustrated with a magnificent selection of photographs, in colour and monotone, it shows the very varied approaches of the different personalities, their superb craftsmanship and beautiful, stimulating, sometimes controversial, designs. The 'Names to Note' section is an invaluable reference source, in a field not so far documented. From T. J. Cobden-Sanderson or Douglas Cockerell in the early 1900s, to Edgar Mansfield in the 1950s and to Philip Smith, Lage Eric Carlsen, Donald Glaister or Santiago Brugalla today, is a long haul. Today's men and women in the front rank in Europe and the USA are reaching for new dimensions. Many of them have broken with tradition by trying to integrate the binding with the book: they strive to capture the author's message and interpret it in visual form. Meanwhile Ivor Robinson, one of the world's most highly regarded binders, insists that a binding should stand as work of visual creativity in its own right. There is a new sense of freedom in the way leather is used and in the use of less conventional materials - metal, wood, plastics, paints. Having looked at Philip Smith's magnificent creation for Hamlet or his sculptured leather hand that holds a small Robert Louis Stevenson book, Faith Shannon's delightful binding for Alice Through the Looking Glass, James Brockman's 'electronic' binding, Trevor Jones's humorous work for Finnegans Wake, Timothy Ely's 'total books', Dee Odell-Foster's use of perspex boards and metals, Angela James's embroidered designs, and countless others shown here, the reader is left hungry for more. Some of these bindings are works of art that will live; all are immensely interesting to anyone concerned with books, with craftsmanship, with art collecting of any kind.
